| Skills/Experience | Communication & Interpersonal Skills - assist in educational workshops, mentor program ; Dependability & Trustworthiness - garden teams and builds are on a tight schedule. We need to be able to depend on you ; Friendly & Outgoing - able to interact and communicate with students of all ages ; Leadership - if you join the mentor program leadership skills are an asset. ; Mentoring & Training - All of the gardens we install we support through the mentor program. You will be trained on the different aspects of food gardens ; Positive / Cheerful Demeanor - Growing food is fun.... we need to show that in everything we do ; Public Speaking - if assisting with the workshops you must be able to speak in front of a class ; Working with Children - students of all ages |
| Commitment Length | Medium Term (4 months to 1 year) - we are busy April - end of October ; We install gardens and do workshops April - June and September - October We support the gardens and the teams throughout the summer |
