Duties | Out of abundance of care, the Volunteer Program is suspended across all of Lakeridge Health hospitals. We are still accepting electronic website of interest forms and/or online application to join our volunteer team. I will connect back with you as soon as we are able to recruit new volunteers. We continue to hope for a better tomorrow. Volunteers in the Emergency waiting room are ambassadors and provide a friendly face and support to patients/families * this is a pilot project Offer support to patients who may be in pain, feel scared, disconnected on loved one's status * respond to the needs of the patients to offer comfort, minimize stress and provide the best patient experience possible * engage in conversations with patient & families * way-finding, escort people to various locations * ensure wheelchairs are available at all times * offer Patient Experience Research surveys | |||
