Description & Services
Description (Service) Support to adults with emotional and mental health issues * volunteers trained in communication and life skills work with clients  
 
Group Support 
Trained volunteers provide clients with emotional support and help in acquiring life and coping skills * clients determine the goals they want to achieve to help them live successfully in the community * for caregivers and people experiencing depression and anxiety * groups are co-facilitated by staff and volunteers * support groups are psycho-educational, open and ongoing * for adults and seniors 
 
Specialized Geriatric Support 
Outreach and support services for high-risk older adults 65 and older who live in the community and have needs related to mental health and/or aging * call 905-666-4836 or 1-866-748-0774  
 
Information and referral to other mental health services in the community
Sup. Description Community Care Durham Walk for Mental Health annually in June (see www.ccdwalk.org) * event to educate the public and support those living with mental and emotional concerns
